Through the years many famous people have used hypnosis effectively to develop their talents, to create and to promote their ideas. Among those are Alfred Lord Tennyson, Mozart, Goethe, Chopin, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Albert Einstein.
In 1947, the British recognized hypnosis as an effective alternative health treatment. Over ten years later, in 1958, the American Medical Association identified hypnosis as a legitimate form of treatment. In 1995 the National Institutes of Health acknowledged hypnosis as a successful intervention for pain management.
